The farm at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY, hosted the Organic Alchemy pilot project.
The small scale tanks were transported to the site in October, 2007. Later, with the cooperation of WKU, and the help of some dedicated students, a greenhouse was constructed over the tanks. These pictures show the evolution of the tanks from 2007 to 2011. The team has also been host to the KY Beef Association tour in 2008 and to the WKU sustainability team, the governor's energy representative, and local organic farmers in 2010. The flame represents the production of methane, a primary goal of the system and proof of concept.
